WELCOME TO WHIRINAKI WHARE TAONGA EDUCATION PROGRAMMES

We offer programmes to suit all levels of students, from early education right through to secondary. We also have a number of resources for teachers to assist you before, during and after your visit.

KIA ORA, KO CLAIRE MEPHAM TOKU INGOA!

For the past four years I have worked as the Learning Services Professional at Whirinaki Whare Taonga. I love engaging ākonga (learners) in their first experiences of the arts, looking at how we use it to make sense of our world. I am an Upper Hutt local and my personal interest is local curriculum and getting to know the students in my special in-between role as an art gallery educator.

As the Learning Programmes Specialist at Whirinaki Whare Taonga, I am committed to engaging and exciting learning opportunities for our tamariki. Through educational packages, I can offer arts experiences that supplement learning inside the classroom, based on your curriculum requirements, as part of our LEOTC contract.

Feel free to contact me to discuss our upcoming and current programmes, or to place bookings for educational groups.

See you soon at Whirinaki Whare Taonga!
